Saturday 26th April at 12:00pm: Members' Recital and lunch
Fulneck Moravian Chapel, Fulneck, Pudsey, LS28 5NT

Members are warmly invited to take part in a members' recital on the Saturday lunchtime at Fulneck Moravian Chapel, organised by our President, Lee Ward. The recital itself will be from 12pm to 1.15pm; those who wish could meet at the nearby Bankhouse pub for lunch afterwards. Menu details below.

It would be useful to know who might attend and also who might want to play, and any repertoire they would want to play. Lee could arrange some short practice sessions during the morning for anyone who might require it.

The nearest railway station (although not that near) is New Pudsey. We could offer lifts from the station to and from Fulneck if you could let us know in advance. Further travel information including the full address is available here.

More information on the organ (which is a lovely two manual) can be accessed here. Fulneck organ information

Saturday 17th May at 10pm: Organ building talk and open console at Dewsbury Minster
Dewsbury Minster, Vicarage Road, Dewsbury, WF14 8DD

We will meet at Dewsbury Minster with tea/coffee available on arrival.

Anthony Spink (from JM Spink Organ Builders) will give a talk about their work on the organ and possibly we will be able to see the inner workings of it.

Sam Wilson (Director of Music at Dewsbury Minster) will then tell us about the pros and cons of playing the instrument and give a little demonstration of its range and colours.

Finally, an open console session will allow Members to play the organ for themselves.
